Hi, I'm Mandi

"Photography has been my way of bearing witness to the joy I find in seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary." — Harold Feinstein

I try my best to approach sessions in a way that makes you feel comfortable and at ease during your session. I'm a little awkward and hate posing myself, so for my clients, I try to make it as stress-free as possible. I can be as hands-off for the shy clients or fully pose clients who want the most directions.

For full sessions, we can let the kids play and get used to me, and take their time to warm up to posing. We can do posing prompts, I will help fix your hair and hands and make you feel so much more natural in front of the camera.

FUN FACTS

I was born at Camp Pendleton in California, but raised in Gratiot County. My maiden name is Gulick, and I was an art/business major at Alma College. Played the piano throughout childhood, was part of the church worship team, and the clarinet in the Kiltie Marching Band. I have LOVED photography since my papa bought me a camera when I was little and took lots of photos of our family and pets.

"“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”"

Thanks for helping me keep my dream alive

Wife to an Airforce veteran turned accountant, and momma to three amazing and wild little ones. Life is constantly busy and chaotic, but there are so many blessings.

I’m quiet, down-to-earth, and sarcastic. I love random chats about life, books, and creating art.
